Outlandish animated creatures in outrageous situations.
Squiggles and blobs, fire bugs and snow golems, dignified kings and daring immigrants. The amazing thing about animation is that as silly as it can be, it can be just as somber; as weird as it is, it’s often just as real. These animations are in some way all absurd, because whether they’re about goofy fictional creatures or tragically documented true stories, these tales (and tones and tunes) are all equally affecting: unreal and enjoyable.
